Legacies
Legacies are essential to the work of Garwood. By remembering Garwood in your will, you can make a lasting difference by helping us to continue supporting people with severe disabilities beyond your lifetime.
Making a lasting difference
In recent years, legacy gifts have helped us plan new services and provide additional support that otherwise would not have been possible. For example, legacies have helped us to convert the upstairs of Jean Garwood House, our residential home, to provide additional accommodation for more adults with disabilities.
This is an exciting development of three small flats with en-suite bathrooms, shared sitting-room and a specially adapted kitchen for people with disabilities. This new addition to the home gives the opportunity and encouragement to younger adults to learn skills and become more independent.
How do I leave a legacy?
If you are thinking about preparing, or amending your will, please consider making a legacy gift to Garwood. This generous gift will enable us to continue to enhance the lives of our students and service users.
