Values

At Rutherford we believe that ‘we all need to dream’, dreaming is the first step in achieving. At Rutherford our values are underpinned by the UN Convention of Rights for the Child (Unicef 1989).

This details how each child and young person can be kept safe from harm, have chances to develop, become an individual and thrive. It helps us keep children and young people at the heart of all we do at Rutherford.

This supports us in developing and deepening pupils’ understanding of the fundamental British values of democracy, individual liberty, the rule of law and mutual respect and tolerance.
